OVERVIEW
Dr. Ramon Torrecilha served as the 20th president of Westfield State University. At Westfield State, Torrecilha enhanced the national standing and prominence of the institution by securing substantial funding in support of mission-driven, student-focused enhancements, and capital development. Prior to his presidency, Dr. Torrecilha held numerous administrative and academic positions at public and private institutions including California State University, Mills College, and Berkeley College. As a faculty member, executive vice president, and provost, Torrecilha has honed a leadership approach focused on team building, engagement, and effective partnerships. He has published in the areas of institutional transformation, educational attainment, and diversity.
